Operational application

THE PROJECT

The problem

Payroll lending brings together customer documents, credit simulations, contract issuance, CRM records and portfolio follow-up. I built a web application to connect these steps for App Crédito.

My contribution

As partner and CTO, I led and implemented the software with AI-assisted development tools, from application workflows and API integrations to deployment and operational controls.

Engineering decision

AI output supports the operator workflow: classification confidence and field validation determine where human review is needed. Banking workflow polling provides the operational status source. Model/provider configuration, reasoning options, fallback layers and circuit breakers support operational resilience.

IMPLEMENTATION

What I built

  • React frontend and FastAPI backend for credit simulations, contract issuance, portfolio management and reconciliation.
  • Guardian banking API and RDStation CRM integrations, including OAuth token refresh, retry handling and workflow polling.
  • Vision-language model pipeline to classify documents and extract structured fields, with validation and operator review for low-confidence classifications.
  • Role-based permissions, domain-separated PostgreSQL databases, document downloads and operational deployment on Fly.io.
  • Docker deployment on Fly.io, managed PostgreSQL, separate web and worker processes, readiness checks and encrypted backup/recovery workflows.
  • GitHub Actions pipelines with path-based checks, job dependencies, test gates, staging/production releases and deployment concurrency controls.

Outcome and current stage

In production at App Crédito, supporting approximately US$600,000 in monthly credit origination — equivalent to a US$7.2 million annualized run rate. The platform connects credit workflows that would otherwise require separate tools and manual handoffs.
